Gabriela is a cabaret restaurant dancer in Indianapolis, Indiana. She began studying Middle Eastern Dance in 1997 and started dancing professionally in 2003.In 2008 Gabi was accepted into the Black Rose Caravan troupe and enjoys performing tribal style belly dance with them.Gabi is known for her crisp isolations and strong abdominal muscles (alien belly). If asked to describe her style, she'd say it is somewhere between Lebanese and Turkish. She does enjoy studying many styles of dance and draws inspiration from styles such as Egyptian, Rom, Chinese and Polynesian dance. Gabi's favorite venue is restaurant dancing. She is most often found at the Greek Islands Restaurant in downtown Indianapolis. She is often described as a tasteful and elegant dancer, but very approachable. She enjoys interacting with the restaurant patrons by getting them up to dance with her, giving a short impromptu lesson, or accepting tips. She does allow guests to tuck tips into the sides of her belt. |
